08:30 Who we are

New name on the van. Old hands on the tools.

Clean Ducts has spent a decade keeping commercial and industrial ventilation clean, safe and compliant: ductwork, kitchen extract, fire dampers, AHUs, clean rooms. Many of our supervisors and engineers have over 30 years in the ventilation industry.

Behind the brand is Gemini AMPM Ltd, the employee-owned fire and security firm that has protected the South East’s most demanding buildings since 1997. Clean Ducts is its ventilation-hygiene arm: same engineers’ culture, same evidence-first standard, same group answerable for the result.

16:00 The longer story

The work came first.

The name on the van is new. The work is not. For a decade this team has kept mechanical ventilation clean, safe and compliant across the South of England, in hospitals, offices, factories, schools, hotels and restaurants. The promise on day one was clean indoor air, delivered by experienced, friendly mechanical and electrical engineers. It has not changed since.

The scope covers the whole system, not just the duct run. We survey, clean, test and repair air handling units and fire and smoke dampers, and complete ductwork installation and repairs, alongside CCTV surveys, air ventilation and ductwork cleaning and planned maintenance. If it moves air through your building, it is our job to know its condition and to evidence it.

That confidence comes from the people, not the brochure. Clean Ducts is engineer led from the top down: many of our supervisors and engineers have more than 30 years in the ventilation industry, and our supervisors are BESA trained. Fire damper testing and duct cleaning are run to that standard on every job, with the same discipline whether the site is a high street kitchen or a controlled environment.

The range of environments is deliberately wide. We work in clean rooms and pharmaceutical facilities, hospitals and care homes, universities, schools, offices and industrial properties, hotels, restaurants and large residential buildings. Every building has its own needs, so we tailor the solution to the space in front of us rather than forcing one method onto every site. Where filtration matters, our specialists advise on the options that give you the best air quality, energy efficiency and long-term performance.

The case for the work is practical, not cosmetic. Clean ductwork improves air quality, helps the system run efficiently, reduces energy costs and prevents the health hazards that come from dust and debris building up out of sight. It is maintenance that pays for itself in the running of the building, before you ever count the compliance value.

Those environments have added up to more than 850 completed projects, and to relationships that run long. Universities, schools, offices and hospitals have stayed with us because their ventilation systems are kept expertly maintained, energy efficient and environmentally sound, with products chosen carefully and support that continues after the certificate is issued.

And everything is documented, because a clean you cannot prove is a clean you do not have. Our BESA-trained supervisors use photographic reports to demonstrate compliance with fire safety regulations. Every clean follows BESA TR19 guidelines, with kitchen extract cleaned to TR19 Grease, and as Vent Hygiene Associate members of BESCA our work is independently verified rather than self-declared. When an auditor, insurer or fire officer asks for evidence, you hand them a report, not a reassurance.

19:00 The group

Three names. One standard.

The name is literal. AMPM stands for Asset Management and Planned Maintenance: the discipline the group is built on, from the day shift to the night watch to the air in between.
